Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Research Foundation, popularly known as Kalam Foundation, is a trust registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882. It is inspired by India's former President, Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, and is dedicated to the sustainable development of the nation through science and technology. The foundation's core mission is to establish a platform for sharing ideas and resources among students, institutions, government agencies, and corporate bodies. It aims to foster a coordinated effort to maximize societal impact and encourage youth to engage with the excitement of science, innovation, and creative problem-solving. Operating with 15 state units and several overseas units, the Kalam Foundation is guided by a distinguished panel of eminent scientists, academicians, and social workers. Key initiatives include the Kalam Youth Summit, 'Adopt A Village' projects, and 'Udaan Libraries' to empower youth and rural communities.
