How WiWit Verifies Opportunities

WiWit is a directory of checked opportunities for children in India. Each of the 1,297 opportunities from 639 organizations is verified against the organizer's official source before it appears. Here is exactly how we check, what "verified" means, and how we keep listings current.

Checked against official sources

Before a listing is published, its key details: eligibility, dates, fees and benefits, are checked against the organizer's own official website or announcement. The sources used are recorded with the listing, and many opportunity pages show them under "How we verified this".

Reviewed before publishing

Every opportunity passes through a structured review in our content system before it goes live. Listings that cannot be confirmed against a credible source are not published. We do not list anything we could not check.

Kept up to date

Opportunities change: dates shift, new editions open, old ones close. We re-check and update listings on an ongoing basis, and each page shows when it was last reviewed so you can see how current the information is.

What "verified" means on WiWit

A verified listing is one whose details we confirmed against a credible, official source at the time of review. It is not an endorsement, and it does not guarantee a place. Eligibility and selection are always decided by the organizer. WiWit helps you discover and compare opportunities; you apply or register on the organizer's own website. WiWit never charges parents and never adds registration steps of its own.

Frequently asked questions

Who checks the opportunities listed on WiWit?
WiWit does, before a listing is published. Each one is reviewed against the organizing body's own official website or announcement, and anything that cannot be confirmed against a credible source is not published.
Does WiWit charge organizations to be listed?
No. Organizations pay nothing to appear on WiWit, and WiWit takes no commission on any opportunity. Nothing on the site is a paid placement, so a listing appearing here is never a sign that WiWit was paid to show it.
What happens when an opportunity's dates change?
Listings are re-checked on an ongoing basis. Dates are updated when an organizer announces a new edition, and a listing is taken down once its deadline has passed, so what you are reading is what is currently open.
What should I do if a listing looks wrong?
Tell us and we will check it against the organizer's official source again. Use the contact form on wiwitness.com/contact. Because eligibility and selection are always decided by the organizer, their own website is the final word on any detail.
