About
Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) is a distinguished not-for-profit trust established in 2009 by the founders of Infosys. The foundation is dedicated to fostering a culture of scientific research in India by identifying and celebrating exceptional talent. Its primary mission is to elevate the prestige of science and research and to inspire young Indians to pursue careers in various scientific disciplines. The main initiative of the foundation is the prestigious Infosys Prize, an annual award that recognizes outstanding achievements by contemporary researchers and scientists across six categories. These categories include Engineering and Computer Science, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Each laureate receives a gold medal, a citation, and a significant monetary award of USD 100,000. Beyond the prize, the ISF actively engages with students, educators, and the public to promote scientific curiosity and dialogue. The foundation collaborates with educational institutions to host lectures, workshops, and other outreach programs featuring Infosys Prize laureates and jurors, aiming to build a robust ecosystem for science and innovation in India.
