United World Colleges (UWC)

UWC India is the official national committee of the United World Colleges (UWC) movement in India. Operating as a volunteer-based network, it identifies and selects the most promising young Indians to attend UWC schools and colleges around the world, regardless of their financial background. The committee selects candidates based on demonstrated academic promise, potential for positive impact, and commitment to UWC values of intercultural understanding and sustainability. More than 80% of students selected by the UWC India national committee receive full or partial financial scholarships, ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent deserving candidates from participating. UWC India works to broaden the representation of applicants across economic and cultural backgrounds in India, supporting selected students and their families throughout the UWC journey — from application through to graduation.
