About This Opportunity
The HDFC Bank Parivartan's Educational Crisis Scholarship Support (ECSS) Programme is an initiative by HDFC Bank to provide crucial financial assistance to meritorious and needy students across India. This program aims to prevent academic dropouts, promote inclusive education, and encourage academic excellence among students from underprivileged backgrounds who are facing significant financial difficulties.
This scholarship is specifically designed for Indian nationals currently studying in Classes 1 to 12 in any recognized private, government, or government-aided school. Applicants must have achieved at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination, and their annual family income should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh. Special consideration is given to students who have experienced personal or family crises in the past three years that have severely impacted their ability to continue their education.
Selected students will receive financial assistance ranging from INR 15,000 to INR 18,000, with the exact amount depending on their current class level. This support significantly helps alleviate the burden of educational costs, enabling students to continue their studies without interruption. The ECSS Programme is a key component of HDFC Bank's broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Parivartan, which is dedicated to fostering social development and empowerment through education.
