About This Opportunity
The JALSTA Japanese Language Mini Camp is an annual one-day cultural and language immersion event organised by the Japanese Language Teachers' Association of India for school students learning Japanese. The camp gathers learners from multiple schools across the Delhi NCR region for a day of hands-on Japanese activities.
The programme features around twelve curated sessions designed to bring the Japanese language alive outside the classroom. Past editions have included Karuta card games, Yukata wearing, Shodo (calligraphy), Sado (tea ceremony), Origami, and Haiku composition workshops led by experienced practitioners.
The camp is hosted in collaboration with partners including the Japan Foundation New Delhi, Nihongo Partners, JICA, Japan Airlines, the Tea Ceremony Club New Delhi, and the Oritai Club Delhi. Dignitaries from these organisations regularly attend the closing sessions.
The event is open to school students who study Japanese as a third language at participating member schools of JALSTA. Participation is coordinated through the student's school rather than by direct individual registration.
