About This Opportunity
The JKK Junior Summer Camp is an annual multi-discipline arts training programme at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), Jaipur, offering children aged 5-17 expert-led instruction across 18+ disciplines spanning performing arts, visual arts, and literary arts. Disciplines include Kathak, Ghoomar, Chari and Terah Taali (Rajasthani folk dances), contemporary dance, vocal music, flute, tabla, synthesizer, theatre, puppetry making and performance, Phad painting, photography, print making, calligraphy, caricature, visual storytelling, and creative writing.
The camp is conducted by professional artists and faculty at JKK's campus — a heritage landmark designed by Charles Correa — and runs in morning (8-11 AM) and evening (4-6 PM) batches. Children may enrol in multiple disciplines. Session duration varies from 2 to 5 weeks depending on the discipline, within the overall May-June camp window.
Little learners aged 5-10 are accommodated in the Story Tree programme (literary arts and storytelling). Most performing arts courses open from age 8, and advanced disciplines such as print making and photography begin at age 12. No prior training is required for most courses.
