The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development through the framework of Mission Vatsalya and provides sustained support until the beneficiary attains the age of 23 years.
The scheme covers children who were below 18 years of age and lost the eligible caregivers between 11 March 2020 and 28 February 2022.
