About This Opportunity

The YJI First-Person Essay category is part of the annual Youth Journalism International Excellence in Journalism Contest, which has been celebrating exceptional work by teen journalists since 2010. Open to non-professional journalists aged 19 and under worldwide, the category invites submissions of previously published first-person essays written in English.
