About This Opportunity

The ARTEFFECT competition invites middle and high school students worldwide to create impactful art celebrating 'Unsung Heroes'—individuals who made significant positive contributions to history but are not widely recognized. Participants produce an original piece of visual art and an accompanying 'Impact Statement' detailing the hero's story and their creative process.

This opportunity is open to all students in grades 6 through 12 and encourages various visual art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art. The competition is a project-based learning experience that helps students develop critical thinking, historical research, and artistic expression skills.
