Eligibility
Open to students aged 6 to 18 (Grades 1-12) from all countries. Participants can enter individually or as part of a team of 3-5 members. Students under 18 must be registered by a responsible adult. All submissions are required to be in English.

Fee details
Entry to the BIEA International STEM Youth Innovation Competition is free of charge. However, all participants are required to hold a valid BIEA STEM Star Certificate. If a participant does not possess this certificate, they must register and pay £25 (approximately €29 EUR, subject to exchange rates) for a BIEA STEM Star Project. This fee covers the cost of obtaining the prerequisite certificate.

Rounds and format
The competition has 3 linked stages: Online submissions at the national level, Online submissions at the international level, and an international final (Youth STEM Forum). Top-performing teams are invited to the international finals (Youth STEM Forum ), which include a showcase event. Teams are challenged in five STEM skills: report writing, oral presentation, technical development, mission execution, and evaluation.
