About This Opportunity
The Bose Einstein Scholarship Test (BEST) is a prestigious national scholarship program organized by JMMC India (Joint Mathematics and Mechanics Council of India) for students in Class 4 to Class 12. Named after renowned scientists Satyendra Nath Bose and Albert Einstein, this program aims to identify, honor, and support India's most promising young mathematical talents. It provides a platform for students to showcase their mathematical prowess and pursue academic excellence.
The scholarship is open to all students currently studying in Class 4 through Class 12 at any recognized school across India. There are no restrictions based on gender, income, or special categories, making it widely accessible. Students not enrolled in JMMC partner schools are also encouraged to participate.
Successful candidates who clear all three rigorous stages are awarded the esteemed BEST Scholar recognition. This includes a monthly scholarship of ₹15,000 for a duration of 12 months from the award date, providing sustained financial support. Participants also receive a BEST Scholar certificate, signifying their national-level achievement in mathematics and gaining exposure to seminars, workshops, and research-based project work.
The selection process involves three distinct stages: an initial MCQ-based screening test (BEST-MTA), followed by a subjective mathematics examination (BEST-MTB), and a final interview round (BEST-MTC). This comprehensive evaluation ensures a thorough assessment of mathematical skills and potential.
