The CBSE National Science Exhibition is an annual event for students from CBSE-affiliated schools, focusing on STEM for Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Rounds & format
The exhibition is conducted in two stages: Regional Science Exhibitions and a National Level Exhibition. Regional rounds are held face-to-face at various host schools across the country. Foreign CBSE-affiliated schools participate in their regional rounds online via video conferencing. The best fourteen exhibits from each regional venue, subject to quality, are selected to advance to the National Level Exhibition, which is held physically in India.
How entries are judged
Projects are assessed based on: Creativity and imagination (20%), Originality and innovativeness (15%), Scientific thought/principle/approach (15%), Technical skills, workmanship, craftsmanship etc. (15%), Educational value, scalability and utility for society in future (15%), Economics (low cost), portability and durability (10%), and Presentation – effectiveness of display and relevant explanations (10%). The decision of the judges/experts is final.
Selection process
The top fourteen exhibits from each regional level venue, based on quality and evaluation by expert judges, are selected to qualify for the National Level Exhibition.
