About This Opportunity
The Wellness Wave AI Robo Challenge is Track 2 of the international Codeavour competition, focusing on the theme 'Tech for a Healthier Tomorrow'. Participants are tasked with building a robot using the Quarky kit and programming it with PictoBlox to navigate an arena and solve missions related to health and well-being, inspired by UN Sustainable Development Goal 3.
This competition is open to students from ages 7 to 18, who can participate in teams of two or three members. The challenge is structured into three age categories: Elementary (7-10 years), Junior (11-14 years), and Senior (15-18 years), allowing students to compete against their peers.
Participants gain invaluable hands-on experience in robotics, AI, and coding, while developing critical 21st-century skills like problem-solving, strategic thinking, and teamwork. Winners receive global recognition, certificates, and a share of prizes and mentorship opportunities, enhancing their academic and career portfolios.
The challenge requires teams to build a robot within specific size and weight limits (20x20x20 cm, max 1kg) and use it to complete eight different missions on a dedicated arena mat.
