About This Opportunity
The Fit India Quiz is a national-level competition organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, through the Fit India Mission. Its primary objective is to raise awareness about health, fitness, and India's diverse sporting culture, including indigenous games, among school children across the country. The quiz provides a unique platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and engage in an interactive learning process about physical well-being and sports.
All students enrolled in any class up to Class XII in schools across India are eligible to participate. Schools must nominate a minimum of two candidates, and there is no upper limit on the number of students a school can register.
Participants have the opportunity to win significant cash prizes for both themselves and their schools, with a total prize pool of over ₹3.25 crore. Winners also receive national recognition and certificates. The quiz aims to motivate students to adopt healthier lifestyles and gain valuable knowledge in sports and fitness, with the national rounds even being telecast on national television.
The competition typically involves multiple rounds, including a preliminary online examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), followed by state-level and national rounds. The preliminary exam is usually a multiple-choice question format, accessible via a dedicated mobile application.
