About This Opportunity
The Gujarat STEM Quiz, an initiative by the Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, is a national-level competition designed to ignite passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among school students. This unique platform promotes learning through engaging quizzes, helping participants develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The quiz aims to enhance scientific awareness and foster responsible citizenship among young minds.
This competition is open to all school students across India who are currently enrolled in classes 9 to 12, irrespective of their educational board or medium of instruction. There are no registration fees, ensuring broad accessibility for students nationwide. The initial rounds are conducted online, providing flexibility, while the final round takes place offline at a designated venue.
Participants have the chance to win attractive prizes, including cash awards, laptops, tablets, robo-kits, drone-kits, and telescopes. Beyond material rewards, winners gain invaluable opportunities to attend specialized bootcamps at prestigious institutions like the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and visit premier scientific organizations such as ISRO, DRDO, and BARC. This exposure is designed to inspire curiosity and provide practical insights into diverse scientific and technological fields.
The competition features multiple stages, beginning with online preliminary rounds. Successful students then advance to state-level and national-level stages, culminating in a grand finale.
