About This Opportunity
The Indian Debating League (IDL) is India's largest and most prestigious hybrid debating tournament, engaging students from grades 3 to 12. The competition is designed to cultivate essential life skills such as public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership by providing a national platform for young debaters to showcase their talent.
Participants are grouped into Novice (Grades 3-5), Junior (Grades 6-8), and Senior (Grades 9-12) categories, ensuring fair and age-appropriate competition. The tournament features online preliminary rounds and culminates in a grand offline finale at a prestigious venue like IIT Delhi, bringing together the nation's best debaters. Winners gain significant national recognition, and top performers receive wild card entries to international events like the Harvard and Stanford Invitationals.
