About This Opportunity
The International Foundation Economics Olympiad (IFEcO) is an annual online competition designed to assess and enhance the economics knowledge of students in Class 11 and 12. Organized by the International Olympiad Foundation (IOF), this olympiad provides a platform for students to test their understanding of economic principles and their application. It aims to foster a deeper interest in economics and related fields among young minds.
Students from Class 11 and 12, across all boards including CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, IB, IGCSE, and ISC, are eligible to participate. The competition is open to students globally, allowing for international exposure and a diverse competitive environment. Participants should have access to a computer with a stable internet connection and a webcam for the online proctored examination.
Participants will gain valuable experience in competitive examinations and enhance their analytical and problem-solving skills in economics. Successful students receive medals and certificates, recognizing their academic achievements at a national or international level. The olympiad also helps students identify their strengths in economics, which can be beneficial for future academic and career choices.
The examination process includes measures to ensure integrity, such as shuffling of questions and options, webcam proctoring, and restrictions on tab switching. A free mock test is provided to help students familiarize themselves with the online examination portal and ensure device compatibility.
