Students aged 7-18 (Grades 2-12) are eligible. Qualification through national or regional history competitions is mandatory. The Olympiad is open to students from India and worldwide who meet the academic prerequisites. Students participate in 5 age groups. Varsity – Enrolled in grades 11 or 12, Junior Varsity – Enrolled in grades 9 or 10, Middle School – Enrolled in grades 7 or 8, Intermediate – Enrolled in grades 5 or 6 , and Elementary – Enrolled in grades 2, 3 or 4.
