About This Opportunity
The International Mock Trial (IMT) Online League is a quarterly competition series offering free AMTA-style mock trial tournaments for high school students worldwide. Founded in 2022, IMT runs four tournaments per academic year — in October, December, February, and May — each conducted online over a single weekend.
Teams of four or more students compete in four paired rounds per tournament, alternating between prosecution and defense roles using a shared case packet. Awards are given for team placements (1st, 2nd, 3rd), the Spirit Award for sportsmanship, and individual performance recognitions for Outstanding Attorney and Outstanding Witness.
IMT has committed to never charging registration fees, making international competitive mock trial accessible to students regardless of financial means or geography. Teams may be assembled from the same school or formed independently. Indian students are eligible; participants should note that tournament schedules are set in US Eastern time, which corresponds to late evening or overnight hours in India.
The IMT Online League is suitable for students interested in law, argumentation, and competitive advocacy who want international exposure without the constraints of in-person competition.
