About This Opportunity
The International Psychology Olympiad (IPsyO) is an annual global competition designed for high school students passionate about psychology. It provides a unique online platform to challenge and stimulate students, helping them expand their talents and potential to become future leaders in mind and behavior science. The competition aims to identify, inspire, empower, and support students interested and talented in psychology, developing their knowledge and skills to benefit society.
Students currently enrolled in high school, secondary, or pre-collegiate education are eligible to participate. Participants must be graduating in the year following the event or later. The competition is held entirely online, making it accessible to students from various countries and regions, including India.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of psychological concepts and their real-world applications. The Olympiad offers a globally recognized credential that can significantly enhance college applications, especially for those pursuing majors in psychology, neuroscience, behavioral sciences, or education. It also fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and research abilities.
The competition consists of two main stages: the Global Grand Test (individual qualification round) and the International Final Round (team competition). Top performers from each country or region in the Grand Test advance to form national teams for the Final Round, which includes a material-based objective exam and a research proposal presentation.
