About This Opportunity

The International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT), often called the 'Physics World Cup', is a global scientific competition for secondary school students. It challenges participants to research 17 complex, open-ended physics problems over several months, culminating in a tournament where they present and defend their findings in a unique debate format known as 'Physics Fights'.

The Indian Young Physicists' Tournament (InYPT), organized by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT), serves as the national qualifier. This online competition is open to students from grade 8 and above, nurturing scientific talent through an inquiry-based approach. Participants gain invaluable experience in research, experimental design, and critical thinking, while the 'Physics Fights' format enhances public speaking and scientific communication skills, strengthening their profiles for top university admissions.
