About this opportunity

The Ivy League Model United Nations Conference India (ILMUNC India) is a prestigious three-day residential Model UN conference organized by the University of Pennsylvania and brought to India in partnership with Big Red Education. The conference brings Ivy League academic standards and diplomacy training to Indian high school students through committee simulations, expert-led workshops, and networking opportunities.

The conference is open to students in grades 8 through 12 and features 10+ committees spanning beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, including crisis committees. Students simulate UN proceedings, debate global issues, draft resolutions, and develop critical thinking and public speaking skills under the guidance of experienced chairs from the University of Pennsylvania.

All delegates receive digital participation certificates from ILMUNC and the University of Pennsylvania, along with personal skills development reports tracking their growth in negotiation, leadership, research, and collaboration. Outstanding delegates receive special awards, and top performers may be invited to the main ILMUNC conference in Philadelphia.

The residential format includes accommodation in gender-segregated hostels, all meals, 24/7 medical support, and a parent emergency helpline, ensuring a safe and immersive conference experience.
