Eligibility
Open to Rubik's Cube enthusiasts aged 6 to 18 years and above, including special categories for parents and tutors. Participants must have a CFI ID and provide proof of date of birth and a photograph. This is an online competition open to participants nationwide and internationally.

How to apply
- 1Participants need to create a CFI ID on cfi.in.net.
- 2Choose events on the MIST-specific website (mist.cfi.in.net).
- 3Submit documents like birth and address proof via WhatsApp.
- 4Complete the payment to confirm registration.
Rules and guidelines
- No parents or any other person are allowed to be around the participant during the competition session in the online breakout room; violation will lead to disqualification.
- For Big Cube Awards, solving all four cubes (4x4x4, 5x5x5, 6x6x6, and Megaminx) is mandatory.
- Participants must adhere to the official speedcubing rules and regulations as per CFI standards.

Fees and financial support
Fee details
For Indian Candidates: ₹800 for the first puzzle, ₹400 for every additional puzzle. For NRI / International Candidates: ₹1,600 for the first puzzle, ₹800 for every additional puzzle.

The competition features a wide range of puzzle formats, including standard events like 3x3x3, 2x2x2, Pyraminx, Skewb, Clock, Square-1, and specialty events such as One-Handed Solves. Big Cube Awards are given for solving 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 6x6x6, and Megaminx, while Excellence Awards recognize mastery across multiple puzzles.
Rounds and format
The competition includes various puzzle formats. Participants get two attempts for each registered event, and the average time is used for ranking. Special rounds for Tutors Training & Competition and Moderators Training & Competition are also held.
How entries are judged
Judging is based on the average time taken to solve the cube across two attempts for each registered event. Specific time-based excellence awards are given for different age categories and cube types.
Selection process
Participants are selected based on their registration and payment. Performance in the competition determines rankings and awards.
