About This Opportunity
Mukhyamantri Balak Balika Protsahan Yojana is a flagship student incentive scheme run by the Education Department of the Government of Bihar. It rewards students who pass the Class 10 (Matriculation) board examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board with first division, providing a one-time financial incentive directly to their bank account through the Medhasoft portal.
The scheme grants ₹10,000 to all eligible students who clear matriculation in first division, irrespective of category. Students from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities who pass in second division are also eligible for an incentive of ₹8,000. The benefit is delivered through Direct Benefit Transfer after online verification of marksheet, residence, and bank details on the Medhasoft platform.
Applicants must be permanent residents of Bihar, must have appeared in the BSEB matriculation examination, and must be unmarried at the time of application. Annual family income should not exceed ₹1.5 lakh as per the original scheme guidelines, and the student should have a valid bank account in their own name for the funds to be disbursed.
