About This Opportunity
The National Sanskrit Olympiad (NSO), organized by Samskritha Bharathi Educational Trust, is a national-level competition designed to enhance Sanskrit language skills among students. It aims to foster a competitive spirit and proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) in Sanskrit. The Olympiad is conducted in two online levels, with the first level open to all registered students and the second level for high-achieving students.
Students from classes 6 to 10, studying Sanskrit as a first, second, or third language in CBSE, ICSE, SSC, and various other state boards, are eligible to participate. Students who have not adopted Sanskrit as a language can also participate. The syllabus is designed to be inclusive and relevant across different educational systems, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of students.
Participants gain national and state-level recognition, along with medals, mementos, and certificates. The Olympiad helps deepen understanding of India's rich cultural heritage and enhances critical thinking and analytical skills. It also provides an opportunity to showcase spoken proficiency in Sanskrit for top candidates, fostering comprehensive language development.
This Olympiad encourages a love for Sanskrit and helps students connect with India's rich literary, cultural, and spiritual traditions. It also cultivates a positive attitude towards competition, building confidence and resilience essential for academic and personal growth.
