About This Opportunity
Navaratri Navrang is an online Carnatic music competition organised by Acharyanet during the festive Navaratri season. Participants perform Carnatic compositions on the Goddess by renowned composers and submit their entries through video for the preliminary round.
The competition is open to Carnatic vocalists across six age brackets, ranging from sub-juniors aged 6 to adults above 30. Both Indian residents and non-Indian residents can participate, with separate registration tracks for each.
The contest is conducted in two stages. The preliminary round is a video submission, after which shortlisted finalists perform live in a virtual final round judged on Shruti adherence, Talam, Raga and Gamaka nuances, Pronunciation, and Overall presentation.
Winners receive cash prizes and online access to exclusive workshops by legendary Carnatic gurus on the Acharyanet platform.
