About This Opportunity
Prajna Prabodhan Varg is a unique out-of-school gifted education programme run by the Potential Enhancement Services section of Jnana Prabodhini's Institute of Psychology in Pune. The programme is built on a theoretical framework of talent development with equal focus on cognitive and affective growth.
The programme is structured in two stages. The Kishor stage is a two-year foundational track for students in Grades 5 to 7, focused on creative and critical thinking, logical reasoning, literary engagement, self-study and twenty-first century collaboration. The Kumar stage is an advanced track for students in Grades 7 to 11 with domain-specific courses in psychology, architecture, advanced sciences, advanced mathematics, film making and data science.
Selection draws on standardised intelligence test scores administered by JPIP using its proprietary tests, alongside teacher, parent and self-nominations, work samples and school records. Annual intake is balanced at eighty students with forty girls and forty boys. Programme delivery is in person on weekends with three-hour sessions and a residential summer camp.
The annual programme covers fifty hours of cognitive electives, twenty-five hours of study, research and metacognitive skill work, twenty-five hours of affective development and camp experiences, and eight hours of parent education sessions. The programme fee is twenty-three thousand six hundred rupees including GST per programme year.

Open to high-ability students currently in Class 5 to Class 11 who can attend weekend in-person sessions and the residential summer camp in Pune. Annual intake is 80 students balanced as 40 girls and 40 boys.
