About This Opportunity
The Summer Science Program (SSP) offers an intensive, five-week residential research experience for high school students passionate about STEM. Participants engage in real-world scientific inquiry across fields like astrophysics, biochemistry, bacterial genomics, and cell biology, working collaboratively with peers and mentored by leading scientists at university campuses.
This prestigious program is designed for current high school juniors (rising seniors) and some exceptional sophomores, providing an unparalleled opportunity to strengthen college applications and develop advanced scientific skills. Financial aid is available to ensure accessibility for students from diverse economic backgrounds.

Applicants must be current high school juniors (rising seniors) or exceptional sophomores, aged 15-18 during the program. Required coursework in relevant STEM subjects must be completed for credit and a grade by June. Financial aid is available based on demonstrated need. Students from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM and first-generation college applicants are encouraged to apply.
