About this opportunity

The Mini Humanoid Championship is a national-level robotics competition for school students, organized by Harbour Edutech Pvt Ltd (Techradiance) in association with ECell IIT Delhi. It challenges participants to design and program two-legged humanoid robots to perform various tasks, promoting innovation in STEM fields.

This competition is open to students from Class 3 to 12 across India, forming teams of 1-5 members. Participants gain hands-on experience in robotics, programming, and engineering concepts, with prizes up to ₹1,00,000 and internship opportunities.

Rounds & format

Round 1: Quiz Competition. Teams answer questionnaires to assess knowledge and skills in topics covered during workshops. Winners are determined by the highest number of correct answers. Round 2: Free-Style Performance + Quiz (Qualifier Rounds). Teams demonstrate robot capabilities, basic functionality, stability, and response to commands. No set arena, tasks on flat surfaces. Top performers qualify for Day 2. Round 3: EV-Themed Arena (Level 1). Teams complete an EV mission in a specially designed arena, involving stages like urban navigation, charging, and ramp challenges. Round 4: Grand Finale at IIT Delhi.

How entries are judged

Judging is based on creativity, robotics skills, teamwork, and performance in tasks. The quiz round evaluates knowledge and skills, while performance rounds assess robot functionality, stability, and task completion.

Selection process

Winners of the quiz phase are determined by the highest number of correct answers. Top performers in qualifier rounds, based on scores, qualify for subsequent stages. Overall performance in the arena challenges determines the final winners.
