About This Opportunity
The World Scholar's Cup Tournament of Champions is the culminating event of the World Scholar's Cup, an international academic program. It is hosted annually at Yale University in the USA, offering a unique academic and cultural experience.
Participants are typically students aged 11 and older who have successfully qualified through regional and global rounds. The competition is designed for teams of three students, though teams of two are permitted with a scoring disadvantage. Students from different schools or countries can form mixed teams.
The tournament features four main events: the Scholar's Challenge, Collaborative Writing, Team Debate, and the Scholar's Bowl. Beyond the academic challenges, the event includes community-building activities like the Scholar's Scavenge, Debate Showcase, Scholar's Ball, and Scholar's Show, fostering a global community of learners.
Winning the Tournament of Champions offers significant recognition and can enhance university applications, particularly for prestigious institutions.
