About This Opportunity

The Digjyoti Scholarship is offered by Digjyoti Charitable Educational Trust to meritorious students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are entering higher secondary education in India. The award is intended to ease the financial burden of continuing education after Class 10 and is one of three named scholarships administered by the trust.

The scholarship is open to students who have secured around 90 percent marks in the matriculation or equivalent examination and have been admitted to the first year of a +2 or equivalent course in the current academic year. It primarily supports poor orphans, distressed children, and differently-abled candidates, with mark relaxation considered for deserving applicants from orphanages or those orphaned by the death of both parents.

Selected scholars receive an annual stipend of INR 10,000, paid for two years of the +2 course subject to continued eligibility and satisfactory academic performance. Funds help cover tuition, books, and related educational expenses, allowing recipients to focus on their studies during a critical academic transition.

Applications are submitted by post to the trust's Bhubaneswar office along with attested copies of marksheets, admission receipts, and recent photographs. The selection committee reviews applications on the basis of academic merit, financial need, and the supporting documents provided.
