About This Opportunity
The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s scholarship program is designed to support students as they move into higher secondary education and beyond. The scholarship officially begins from Class 11, after students complete their Class 10 examinations. Once selected, a student receives continuous financial assistance for Class 11 and Class 12, ensuring they can complete their higher secondary schooling without financial barriers.
A key feature of this program is its long-term commitment. Donors are required to support a student for a minimum period of five years, which means the scholarship continues seamlessly from Class 11 all the way through the student’s graduation (college degree). This approach ensures stability, allowing students to focus on their studies instead of worrying about educational expenses each year.
Students are selected based on a merit-cum-need basis. This means the foundation considers academic performance along with the family’s financial situation. Through this model, the program aims to uplift deserving students by giving them the opportunity to complete higher secondary education and pursue college studies with consistent support.
In essence, the Akshaya Patra scholarship begins at Class 11 and provides uninterrupted assistance until graduation, helping students build a strong academic future.
