Eligibility
Open to students in Grades 8-12 (typically ages 13-18) across all of India, including home-schooled students and those from NIOS or other open school systems. Parental consent is mandatory for participation. All participants must be studying in a school located within India.

Award
₹35,00,000 in Scholarships
Scholarships and rewards worth up to ₹35 lakhs are awarded to the top national winners. The first prize winner receives a scholarship of ₹4 lakhs. National Finalists ranked 6-10 each receive a cash prize of ₹25,000.

- 2Create an account for yourself or the prospective participant using personal details like Name, Email ID, Contact Number, and School Details.
- 3Parents registering multiple users need to use an alternate email ID for each subsequent user.
- 4Parental consent is required and must be provided during the registration process.
- 5Access to the Vivo Ignite account is granted for 6 months from registration date.
- 6Submit your idea, selecting individual or group entry, and school type (Government/Government Aided/Private).
- 7Complete a quick survey (15 questions on a 5-point Likert scale).
- 8Fill in the Project Display Board template with details like Title, Problem Statement, Objective, Target Population, Social Impact, Methodology, Approach, Results, Conclusion, and Bibliography.
- 9Upload supporting files (e.g., prototype images, charts) in JPEG/PNG/PDF format, not exceeding 5MB.
Rules and guidelines
- Participants must be students from Grade 8 to 12.
- Only one entry is allowed per student; multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.
- Projects must be original and solely created by the students; plagiarism or use of externally made projects will result in disqualification.
- For the Grand Finale, selected participants must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian/teacher.
- Commercial use of the content from Vivo Ignite is strictly prohibited.

- Internet access for online registration and submission.
- Device capable of uploading posters (PDF/JPEG/PNG, up to 5 MB) and video presentations.

About this opportunity
Vivo Ignite: Technology & Innovation Initiative is a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by Vivo India, designed to foster innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among school students across India. This initiative encourages young minds from Grades 8 to 12 to develop technology-driven solutions that address pressing societal challenges, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The program provides a national platform for students to showcase their ideas, offering mentorship, resources, and recognition. It aims to inspire the next generation of tech leaders and changemakers by providing opportunities to dream, create, and implement solutions to real-world problems.
The competition unfolds in three stages: an initial idea submission, followed by prototype development and video submission for shortlisted entries, culminating in a Grand Finale where the top projects are presented to a distinguished jury.
The initiative is conducted in collaboration with esteemed knowledge partners like the Central Institute of Educational Technology – NCERT (CIET-NCERT), IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation (an innovation hub of IIT Madras), and UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI), ensuring high-quality mentorship and guidance for participants. The program emphasizes 'Tech for Good' innovations, encouraging students to contribute meaningfully towards the sustainable growth of the nation.
Rounds and format
Stage 1: Idea Submission (poster and brief write-up, 150-300 words). Stage 2: Prototype Submission (video explaining working model and Project Display Board content) for top 200 shortlisted ideas. Stage 3: Grand Finale (physical event in New Delhi) for top 10 national finalists to display and present projects.
How entries are judged
Ideas are judged on parameters such as technical innovation, social relevance, creativity, and feasibility.
Selection process
Ideas are shortlisted based on initial submission, followed by evaluation of prototype videos and Project Display Boards. Final selection is based on presentations at the Grand Finale.

- Mentoring sessions and workshops provided for shortlisted participants.
- Reference videos for prototype submissions from previous editions.
