Rounds & format

The competition progresses through 3 main levels: School Level (written), State Level (oral), and the National Mega Final (oral). Each level acts as a qualifier for the next, with increasing difficulty.

How entries are judged

Participants are primarily judged on their ability to spell words correctly. In oral rounds, judging is on a miss-and-out basis. Later rounds may also include pronunciation and word usage.

Selection process

Students who achieve the required cut-off marks in the written rounds qualify for the subsequent levels. Toppers from the State Grand Finale are selected for the National Mega Final.

The initial registration fee for the School Level is ₹200 per student. Fees for subsequent levels are separate and mandatory for qualifiers: State Level is ₹500, and the National Mega Final is ₹2000. All fees are non-refundable.

Refund policy

Fees paid for any level are strictly non-refundable. A refund for a second payment may be considered only in the case of an accidental double payment.
