About This Opportunity
The WRO India Future Innovators category is a project-based robotics competition that challenges students to create original robotic solutions for real-world problems. These solutions must align with the annual season's theme, which often connects to global challenges. Participants have the freedom to choose any hardware and programming tools for their projects, encouraging diverse and creative approaches.
This competition is open to students aged 8 to 19, divided into three age groups: Elementary (8-12 years), Junior (11-15 years), and Senior (14-19 years). Teams must consist of 2 to 3 students from the same age group, led by an adult coach. This structure promotes teamwork and collaborative learning.
Participants gain hands-on learning experience in robotics, develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The competition provides exposure to mentors and industry experts, and offers national and international recognition. Winners at the national level have the prestigious opportunity to represent India at the WRO International Championship.
Teams present their projects and robot models to judges and the public in a dedicated exhibition booth. The judging criteria evaluate innovation, technical design, relevance to the theme, communication, teamwork, and booth presentation, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of each project.
