About This Opportunity
The WRO India RoboSports competition is an engaging platform where teams design, construct, and program two autonomous robots to compete in a sports-themed game on a designated field. The current game is Double Tennis, requiring robots to collaborate and push balls to the opponent's side. This competition fosters advanced coding, communication, and strategic thinking.
This competition is open to students aged 11 to 19 years, typically covering Grades 6 to 12. Participants form teams of 2-3 students, led by an adult coach. While the competition is nationwide, specific hardware restrictions apply, primarily involving LEGO materials and official Arduino controllers.
Participants gain valuable experience in robotics, advanced coding, and problem-solving. The competition promotes teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking, essential skills for future STEM careers. Winners receive medals, certificates, and cash prizes, with opportunities to advance to national and international championships.
