About This Opportunity

The Young Scientist India (YSI) Innovation Challenge, a flagship initiative by Space Kidz India since 2013, is a premier national platform designed to ignite scientific curiosity and foster innovation among high school students across India. This competition encourages young minds to explore their creativity, deepen their understanding of scientific concepts, and develop practical solutions to real-world problems.

YSI aims to bridge the gap in scientific research enrollment by attracting talented youth towards STEM careers and research. The challenge emphasizes out-of-the-box thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset, providing participants with invaluable experience in project development and presentation.

The competition is officially endorsed by Manthan, a Government of India platform dedicated to fostering collaboration between industry and the scientific research and development ecosystem.

Participants will have the opportunity to win substantial prizes, including seed funding for their innovative projects, with a total prize pool exceeding ₹5 Lakhs for the current edition.
