About This Opportunity

The Youth4Climate (Y4C) Initiative, co-led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Italy, is a global program empowering young people and youth-led organizations to address climate change. It identifies, supports, and scales innovative youth-led climate projects worldwide through its annual Call for Solutions. The initiative aims to bridge the significant gap in technical, financial, and political resources for young climate leaders.

The Call for Solutions is open to individuals aged 18 to 29 and legally registered youth-led organizations. Successful applicants can receive up to USD 30,000 in seed funding, capacity development, mentorship, and global networking opportunities to implement their projects over a maximum of 24 months.

Prerequisites

  • At least one team member should have at least three years of project management experience (for organizations).

Additional requirements

  • Applicants must be nationals of and implement their projects in one of the eligible countries listed in the Youth4Climate Call for Solutions guidelines.

Open to individuals aged 18-29 and youth-led organizations with majority leadership in the same age range. Applicants must be nationals of and implement projects in eligible countries as per the Call for Solutions guidelines. Projects should focus on climate action and align with one of the six thematic areas. For organizations, at least one team member should have three years of project management experience.
