About
The Archery Association of India is the national governing body for the sport of archery in India. The federation regulates competitive archery, selects national teams, and oversees the development of archers from grassroots to elite level. The association organises national championships across senior, junior, sub-junior, mini, cadet, and para categories in recurve, compound, and Indian round formats. Member state associations conduct trials and ranking tournaments that feed into the national circuit. The federation is responsible for India's representation at international events including the Olympic Games, World Archery Championships, Asian Games, and World Cups. It runs coaching and training programmes in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India and recognised academies across the country. Through its calendar of national ranking tournaments and age-group championships, the body provides a structured pathway for young archers to progress towards elite competition and national team selection.
