Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Union

The Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) is an international charitable organization established in Hong Kong in 2012. The AIMO Union is dedicated to advancing mathematical excellence among students worldwide through competitive mathematics events. Its mission is to provide teenagers with a global platform for learning mathematics, fostering cultural exchange, and enhancing scientific thinking. AIMO organizes the AIMO Open Contest, an international mathematics competition attracting students from over 21 countries and regions. The AIMO Open Contest features open-ended mathematical problems designed to challenge critical thinking and problem-solving abilities at high levels. Additionally, the AIMO Union conducts the World Mathematical Games Open (WMGO), offering a unique approach to learning mathematics through engaging games that develop cognitive skills such as shape, logic, space, and numbers. With secretariats established in numerous countries, including India through the Global Olympiads Academy, AIMO coordinates international mathematics competitions with online trial rounds and in-person finals hosted at various international venues. This promotes cross-cultural mathematical exchange and talent development, aiming to scout for more mathematical talents and further quality mathematics education globally.
