About
The Asian Chess Federation is the continental governing body for the sport of chess across Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. It is the largest continental chess federation, made up of more than fifty national member associations, and runs the calendar of continental chess events under the auspices of the International Chess Federation. The federation organises Asia's flagship age-group, junior, individual and team championships, and works to popularise chess as both a sport and an educational tool across the continent. Its events award FIDE-rated results and direct international titles to leading performers. Through its national members, the federation coordinates participant entries from each country and ensures uniform application of the FIDE Laws of Chess, fair-play standards and anti-cheating protocols. In India, the federation works with the All India Chess Federation as its recognised national member, which selects and nominates players for continental events.
