Bhumi

Bhumi is one of India's largest independent, youth-led volunteer non-profit organizations. Founded in 2006, Bhumi provides a platform for young people to engage in social causes, primarily focusing on the education of underprivileged children and promoting environmental sustainability. The organization's core mission is to drive social change by creating an environment where young adults and children can learn, lead, and thrive. Bhumi's volunteer-driven model has successfully engaged thousands of students and young professionals across multiple cities, making a significant impact on communities through structured educational and civic programs. Bhumi's key initiatives are categorized under two main programs: 'Ignite' and 'Catalyse'. The Ignite program is dedicated to providing supplementary education in subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science, along with life skills and mentorship to children in shelter homes and underserved communities. The Catalyse program focuses on civic and environmental projects, such as the Eco-Champs initiative, which nurtures young leaders to become passionate about preserving the planet.
