About
Bookosmia is a children's creative writing and publishing platform that describes itself as India's leading publisher for kids, by kids. Registered as Bookosmia Private Limited, it invites children to submit stories, poems, essays, reviews, artwork, and other creative work for possible online publication. Founded by a former banking professional turned children's content curator, Bookosmia is built around the idea that every young voice matters. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis and selected entries are published free of cost, alongside a more selective book-publishing initiative for young authors called the Sprouts Programme. Beyond publishing, Bookosmia runs inclusion-focused initiatives addressing neurodiversity and autism awareness, produces podcasts created by and for teenagers, and organizes an annual festival celebrating diverse young voices. Contributions come from children across hundreds of towns and cities in India and among the Indian diaspora abroad. The organization has been featured in national media for its work with young writers and its neurodiversity advocacy, and authors mentored through its Sprouts Programme have gone on to win international recognition including the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition.
