Dessin Academy (Institute of Fine Arts)

Dessin Academy, established in 2004, is an ISO 1991-2015 certified institute of fine arts headquartered in Chennai. It is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University as an Off-Campus Centre since 2016, offering university-recognized degree programs including MFA, BFA, and diploma courses in painting. The academy operates 62+ branches across South India, including locations in Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore, Vellore, Bengaluru, Tirunelveli, Puducherry, Kannur, and Port Blair. With over 5,900 students globally, Dessin Academy provides structured art education for children (ages 3+), adults, and university-level students. Founded by Kalai Valarmani R. Rajendran (MFA) and co-directed by Mrs. Sudha Rajendran (BFA), the academy offers programs ranging from kids' fundamental courses to professional fine arts degrees. Students have earned National Bal Shree honours, CCRT Scholarships, world records, and national awards. The academy also conducts regular online and in-person drawing and painting competitions open to students across India.
