About
eVidyaloka Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the educational landscape in rural and remote parts of India. It connects passionate volunteer teachers from across the globe with children in government schools through a digital classroom model, addressing the challenges of teacher shortages and quality of education. The organization leverages technology to bridge educational gaps and empower underserved communities. Primarily focusing on students from grades 5 to 10, eVidyaloka delivers live, interactive online classes in subjects like Mathematics, Science, and English in the local medium of instruction. By providing standardized lesson plans and teaching aids, it ensures a consistent and high-quality learning experience. This approach helps students build a strong academic foundation and develop a keen interest in learning. Operating through a powerful ecosystem of partners, including state governments, CSR partners, and on-ground NGOs, eVidyaloka sets up and manages these digital classrooms. The model is designed to be scalable and sustainable, with a strong emphasis on creating a knowledgeable and empowered rural India through quality education. All volunteer teachers undergo a screening process, and the presence of a local class assistant ensures a safe, supervised learning environment.
