About

Holystoked is a Bengaluru skateboarding collective started in 2011 by a group of local skaters to solve the two problems skateboarders faced in India: where to get good gear and where to skate. It runs one of India's oldest skate shops alongside coaching, board rentals, and community programmes. The collective built India's first free, crowdfunded public skateparks and today operates The Cave, a free public skatepark, where it teaches skateboarding to children and adults. Its work extends to using skateboarding as a tool for empowerment and social inclusion, including coaching for underprivileged children and helping build free skateparks across the country. Holystoked has supported the building of skateparks nationwide, including association with India's first rural skatepark, and has hosted and collaborated with international skateboarders who have visited and helped build its early parks.
