I-HUB Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), IIT Delhi

I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC) is a premier Technology Innovation Hub established by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (NM-ICPS). Founded in June 2020 as a Section 8 company, IHFC serves as a crucial bridge between academia, government, and industry to significantly advance the fields of robotics and cobotics. The foundation strategically focuses on four key application areas: Medical & Healthcare, Agriculture, Industry X.0 (including Industry 4.0 and beyond), and Defence. IHFC's core mandates include extensive Research & Development, fostering Entrepreneurship and Startups through impactful programs like READY, providing cutting-edge Skills and Training, and facilitating robust International Collaborations with prestigious institutions such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), USA, and partners in Japan and Denmark. IHFC is dedicated to creating a vibrant ecosystem for research, innovation, and commercialization in collaborative robotics, developing cutting-edge solutions, and nurturing young talent to address real-world challenges, thereby contributing significantly to a 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'. The hub also actively works on designing curriculum for schools in emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, ML, and Data Science, aligning with the New Education Policy (NEP 2020).
