Lasania's Roller & Ice Skating Academy (LRISA)

Lasania's Roller & Ice Skating Academy is a Hyderabad-based skating academy that trains children in skating, centred on roller speed skating, and produces competitive skaters. It began with a handful of trainees on Tank Bund road in 2000 and grew to around a hundred active skaters. The academy is run by an international-level head coach and follows a competitive, technical-excellence orientation, taking children from basics toward state and national competition. Its name also covers ice skating, which it offers through seasonal winter camps rather than a standing rink. The academy is led by founder and head coach Abbas Iqbal Lasania, who represented India at the World Inline Speed Skating Championships, and its skaters have gone on to represent the country and win at national level.
