About

MyGov is the Government of India's flagship citizen engagement platform, launched on 26 July 2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Owned and maintained by the MyGov Cell under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and hosted by the National Informatics Centre, the platform brings the government closer to citizens by enabling open dialogue, idea exchange and participation in policy formulation. The platform offers diverse modes of participation including Discuss, Do, Poll, Survey, Talk, Quiz, Pledge, Innovative Challenges, Campaigns and Podcasts. Almost every central government department uses MyGov for citizen engagement, public consultations and dissemination of information about national schemes and programmes. State-level instances of MyGov operate across 22 states, extending participatory governance to regional levels. With more than 30 million registered users, MyGov has facilitated over 55 lakh comments, 14 lakh task submissions, 2 crore quiz participations, 1.5 crore pledges and 20 lakh poll votes on subjects of national importance. The platform regularly hosts national-level quizzes, hackathons and creative contests in partnership with ministries and agencies such as ISRO, ICMR, Niti Aayog and the Election Commission of India. Through quizzes like the National Space Day Quiz, Independence Day Quiz and Republic Day Quiz, MyGov gives Indian students, professionals and citizens an authentic, government-recognised channel to learn about India's achievements, contribute ideas and earn government-recognised certificates and rewards.
